Overview
MarshSpit is the creative brand of local mixed media artist Jayme Syposh.
Seeking a dynamic online presence that reflects his evolving body of work, Jayme needed a site that could be easily updated without requiring web design expertise. To meet this need, I designed a fully interactive prototype in Figma, incorporating elements that capture his artistic identity—including his preferred color palette, which is featured prominently throughout the design.
The prototype includes a stop-motion hero animation, animated gallery, fully responsive layout, and a functional color switcher, offering both interactivity and visual depth. Care was taken to ensure the design was not specific to one medium, allowing Jayme’s diverse range of work to speak for itself.
The website is currently in development using WordPress and Advanced Custom Fields (ACF), enabling Jayme to easily upload new pieces and manage his gallery as he creates new work. The goal is to create a digital space that evolves alongside his creative practice while staying true to his distinctive visual style.

Stop Motion Hero
To highlight Jayme’s personality and process, I created a stop-motion hero using his linocuts. I incorporated his tools, working materials, and hand—an element he often uses on social media to show scale—to visually guide viewers through his creative journey from start to finish.
Animated Gallery
As a prolific creator, Jayme envisions his gallery as an ever-evolving stream of work without imposed hierarchy. To honor this, I designed an animated slideshow that flows organically, allowing him to effortlessly reorder and refresh the collection through Advanced Custom Fields.
